Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) remains a critical issue for adolescent girls, particularly in rural communities where menstruation is often considered a taboo subject and rarely discussed openly. Limited access to accurate information and persistent social stigma can lead to poor menstrual health practices, increased health risks, and emotional challenges, including stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem.
To address these issues, a two-day training program on Menstrual Hygiene and Health Management was organized for adolescent girls. The program aimed to provide scientifically accurate information on menstruation, promote healthy hygiene practices, dispel common myths and misconceptions, and encourage open and informed discussions about menstrual health.
Through interactive sessions, participants gained knowledge about the menstrual cycle, personal hygiene, nutrition, menstrual products, and the importance of seeking timely healthcare when needed. The training also focused on building confidence, breaking social taboos, and empowering girls to manage menstruation with dignity and self-assurance.
